Service Opportunities for Youth

Unless otherwise noted:

The volunteer age is 7th-12th grade.
For any event on a Sunday morning, 11 AM arrivals can be accommodated if your family attends 10 AM Mass.
Youth ages 14-17 must complete the Worthy of the Call training prior to volunteering.

Responsibilities for most events include assisting with set-up, children's activities, serving food, and clean-up. Additional responsibilities, as appropriate, are listed with each event. Youth are welcome to any food that is offered at our events after they have completed their service.

For many events, parents can volunteer along side their child. All adults who are volunteering must be cleared through VIRTUS. Adults should contact Clare Kinsey if interested in volunteering.

Valentine's Day Parent's Night Out - February 8

Arrival Time: 4:30 PM

Departure Time: 8 PM

Youth are asked to assist with childcare while their parents enjoy dinner and socializing.

Mardi Gras Party - March 2

Arrival Time: 10:30 AM

Departure Time: 12:30 PM

Lenten Family Fridays - Fridays of Lent

March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4, & 8

Knights of Columbus St. Patrick's Day Celebration - March 15

Paschal Meal - April 15

Arrival and departure times will be available closer to the event. Youth are needed as servers for this event. If interested in learning more about this event, contact Paula Woerner at wpw3@mindspring.net.

Live Stations of the Cross - April 10 & 11

Youth in grades 6-12 can volunteer as "stage crew" for this event. This includes set-up, assisting younger children in their roles, and moving equipment.

April 10 @ 6:30 PM - Rehearsal

Youth who are volunteering for this event are required to attend the rehearsal.

April 11 @ 7 PM - Live Stations

Easter Egg Hunt - April 27

Prep - On your own time at home!

This is a simple service activity that can be done while you watch TV! Help us to stuff 500 eggs with candy/small toys.

Egg Hunt

Arrival Time: 10 AM

Departure Time: 11:30 AM

Youth are asked to assist with setting up the egg hunt "course", supervising the children during the hunt, and helping with clean-up.

Bubble Palooza
